General earthworks and site preparation

For agricultural site preparation, we excavate and shape ground for access, site cutouts and planned infrastructure. Our general earthworks can include bulk excavation, levelling and handling excavated soil within the agreed work area. Before work begins, we discuss existing levels, access for operated machinery and where material needs to be moved. Shed footprints are covered in more detail in our dedicated shed pad service. Site preparation services begin with the intended use of the area. For a farm access route, the work may focus on removing unsuitable surface material and shaping a practical working area. For infrastructure sites, the focus may be on cut levels, excavation boundaries and how excavated soil is to be handled. We discuss these details before work begins so the earthmoving scope matches the next construction stage. A clear plan helps avoid moving material twice or obstructing access needed by other contractors. Our work can include bulk cutouts, excavation for rural improvements, grading and ground shaping. Where an existing slope affects a planned site, we discuss how the work area should be formed and where material can be placed. The machinery selected depends on access, the amount of material to be moved and the level of detail required. We do not assume that imported fill, engineering design or certification is part of our operated excavation service. If your project also involves underground water routes or infrastructure corridors, our heavy-duty trenching and drainage excavation services may be relevant. Shed pad construction and cutouts are addressed separately because building footprints and level requirements need particular attention.
